Causes Of Cost Overrun In Ethiopian Building Projects

The completion of the construction projects in a specified time and deficiency of the cost over budgets are taken as the main vital features of the successful projects,which assist to reduce the issues for all firms and provide new opportunities to build another linked projects.For this purpose,causes like policy related,constructor related,owner related,design related and consultant related are observed in order to see their impact on cost over budget of building construction projects.Therefore,questionnaire were filled from the respondents that were working under construction project in Ethiopia and then those responses were analyzed through SPSS and results were found in which all variables showed significant and positive relationship except owner related causes.This study is very helpful for the building constructors that are desired to control cost and build project effectively.
