The half-axle of electric tricycle is the key part of its power transmission.The manufacturing accuracy of the driver shaft parts has a direct impact on the power output and driving safety of the tricycle,so it is particularly crucial to accurately measure its size in the process of producing the driver shaft of the tricycle.At present,the measurement method of driver shaft parts is mainly based on sampling measurement by workers with tools.Although this measurement method can meet the needs of the production in a small batch,it has the problems such as slow speed,high labor intensity,workpiece damage caused by measurement force,and large measurement error caused by human subjective factors.In this paper,the machine vision technology is used to study and design the tricycle driver shaft vision measurement system.The linear array camera is used to collect the surface image of the tricycle driver shaft parts,the image data is transmitted to the computer software system through the image acquisition card,and then the digital image is processed and analyzed by the image processing algorithm.The character recognition is creatively combined with dimension measurement based on edge detection,and the character recognition algorithm based on OCR classifier is used to recognize the characters on its surface to obtain the theoretical dimension of driver shaft.The edge detection algorithm is used to measure the size of the axle shaft to obtain the actual size of the axle shaft,and the measured actual size is compared with the identified theoretical size so as to judge whether the driver shaft parts are qualified.Firstly,the requirements of driver shaft parts inspection are analyzed and studied deeply in this paper.Based on this,the overall scheme of the system is designed,and the mechanical structures of all parts of the system are designed.According to the appearance characteristics of the measured shaft parts such as shape and size,an image acquisition scheme is designed,which adopts a linear array camera to fix and a drive motor to drive the shaft to rotate and take images.According to the requirements of the system,the hardware required for the system is selected.According to the requirement of high precision measurement,a highresolution linear array camera is selected,and the system error is reduced by calibrating the camera and correcting distortion,thus the measurement precision of the system is ensured.In this paper,HALCON,the most widely used machine vision algorithm software in the field of industrial machine vision,is used to study and design the algorithms of character recognition and size measurement.On the basis of the above research results,a vision measurement system for driver shaft parts is developed.A large number of workpieces are tested for a long time in the actual tricycle driver shaft production workshop.The character recognition results are accurate,and the size measurement results meet the accuracy requirements,thus provide a reference for the further research work.
