With the rapid urbanization in recent decades,the consumption of natural resources and the detriment to the ecological environment has been increasingly severe,consequently,the quantity and quality of ecological land is being compressed continuously.How to find out the resolution to the conflict between economic development and ecological protection is becoming a heated discussion right now.As the natural environment deteriorates,the harsh reality forces people to pay attention to ecological security status gradually.The scientific terms of ecological land have drawn more and more attention from whole society.How to demarcate the ecological zone scientifically and reasonably,to achieve the overall coordination of production,living and ecological land has become the most important task in the management of]and resources.Based on the theory of landscape ecology,while the ecological land in F'uzhou city is selected as the study object,this paper firstly puts forward the connotation and classification of ecological land based in the basis of the current land use administrative classification criteria.Secondly,by utilizing the GIS spatial analysis and multiple model methods,the paper evaluated the importance of ecological functions of four major ecosystem services including biodiversity,water conservation,soil conservation and recreation and leisure activities,also extracted the core ecological land from the results of comprehensive assessment of ecological importance.Thirdly,the core ecological land in the research area is taken as the "source" to establish the ecological security pattern in Fuzhou city.Then the minimum cumulative resistance model is used to establish the ecological security pattern of the study area,and the ecological protection zones are determined according to the levels of different patterns.Moreover,the paper analyzed the ecological profits and scientificity compare to the ecological red line from government.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Ecological land is a type of land use with prominent ecological functions,which provides significant ecosystem services to human society,and is of great significance to maintaining the ecological balance of the region and ensuring ecological security.With reference to the current land use classification system,the ecological land category could contain five principal classes and 18 secondary classes.(2)Based on the results of the comprehensive evaluation of ecological importance,the spatial distribution of the core ecological land in Fuzhou city was identified.The results showed that the spatial distribution of the core ecological land in Fuzhou emerged as a pattern of coastal-inland differentiation,and the most widely distributed ecological land types are forest and water area.The extracted results are consistent with the actual circumstance of the study area,also reflect the spatial agglomeration characteristics of multiple ecosystem services.(3)In the basis of the minimum cumulative resistance threshold for ecological land conservation,three categories of landscape pattern which represent high,medium and low levels of ecological security is identified,accordingly,the ecological land in the study area is correspondingly classified into different conservation zone including:the core area,the transition area and the ecological security Control area.What's more,the delineation results of ecological land use protection area are in good agreement with the current circumstance in the study area in terms of the spatial distribution and quantity.(4)By taking the landscape pattern metrics and landscape connectivity into consideration,this paper analyzed the distinguish between the two conservation schemes of ecological land.The results of analysis of different indicators of landscape metrics demonstrated that the extent of landscape fragmentation of the core ecological land scheme is much lower than the ecological land red line scheme,while the aggregation characteristics and connectivity of the overall landscape pattern is much higher,which is more conducive to maximizing the ecosystem services profit.The planning ideas based on the landscape security pattern are more scientific and reasonable for the planning and protection of ecological land,which is the best way to achieve the purpose of ecological land planning and the goal of conservation.
