During the operation of AP1000 Nuclear Power Units(NPUs),the shield building which as the external enclosure structure plays an important role in the safety of NPUs.The base isolated structure equipped with TMD(BIS-TMD)of shield building is constructed by using base isolation and TMD simultaneously.Based on the combined action of base isolation and TMD,the response of shield building under seismic action can be effectively reduced.Therefore,it is of certain research value and practical significance for improving the seismic performance of shield building to propose the BIS-TMD structure and carry out the analysis of seismic reduction.This paper is focus on the study of the effectiveness of hybrid control technology for the seismic reduction of shield building.The specific contents are concluded as follows:(1)The hybrid control technology of BIS-TMD is applied to the shield building effectively.In order to establish the BIS-TMD structure of shied buiding,the original connect method of air intakes is replaced by the isolation bearings and the base isolation is adopted in the shied buiding.In the meanwhile,the requirements of seismic resistance for the BIS-TMD structure of shied buiding are discussed.(2)The simplified models of the shield building are established reasonably.Based on the power spectral density of base shear force for all models,the mechanism of seismic reduction for the BIS-TMD structure is explicated.And the analysis of influence parameters are carried from the aspects of the liquid quality of gravity tank and the mechanical parameters of the isolation layers for the shield building.(3)The finite element models of the shield building are established,and the vibration characteristics of all models are acquainted.Based on the comparison in the seismic responses and the different design parameters,the analysis of seismic reduction for the BIS-TMD structure is carried out.And the site adaptability of the BIS-TMD structure is studied.
