With the development of economy and the continuous expansion of urban, the number of citizens and vehicles in China show a growing trend. At the same time, with the popularity of sharing bikes in recent years,China's urban traffic formed a mixed traffic flow system which was constituted by pedestrians, bicycles and vehicles together. The diversity of travel methods have provided convenience for our lives, while it also cause the urban traffic congestion, environmental pollution, frequent traffic accidents and so on.Therefore,in order to improve the utilization efficiency of urban transport infrastructures, reduce environmental pollution and ensure the normal passage of different traffic flows on urban roads,it is necessary to carry out scientific planning and rational distribution for urban traffic system. The urban transport system in China is a mixed traffic flow system constituted by pedestrians, cars and bicycles together,so the scientific and rational planning of urban transport system must fully understand the characteristics of these three traffic flow and the relationship between them This paper studies the behavior characteristics of pedestrians, cars and bicycles in different cohort environments by means of social experiments.First, the whole processes of the experiments were recorded by high-definition cameras, and the experimental data needed for the study were extracted. Then, some behavior characteristics of these three kinds of traffic flow are studied by using experimental data. The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,we use the experimental data to study the speed fluctuation law of pedestrians, cars and bicycles in different cohort experiments and the reasons of the difference in velocity fluctuation are also explained by the concrete experiments.Secondly,we compare the trajectory spacetime diagrams and fundamental diagrams of these three traffic flows at different experiments, and find the behavior characteristics among the pedestrians, cars and bicycles are similar in nature. The reason is that there is a unified psychological driving behavior among the participants of the three traffic flow experiments. Moreover,we can using the mathematical equation to describe the unified psychological driving behavior, combined with the real experimental data to prove that the three important parameters of the equation are all subject to normal distribution, therefore a complete unified psychological driving behavior equation is established by us.Finally, according to the specific cohort experiments to improve the social force model, then combining the improved social force model with unified psychological driving behavior equation,we can build a unified traffic mode to study the behavior characteristics of pedestrians, cars and bicycles simultaneously.Using the unified traffic mode to simulate the pedestrian line queue experiments, bicycle line queue experiments, pedestrian ring cohort experiments, bicycle ring cohort experiments and car ring cohort experiments,we discover that the model can reproduce the trajectory spacetime diagrams and fundamental diagrams of these five groups of cohort experiments well, which demonstrate the unified traffic model is scientific and rational.
