As the hub area of the whole airspace,terminal airspace is a typical complex air traffic system which contains the most air routes、the most flight conflicts、the highest traffic density and the highest air traffic complexity.Generally speaking,terminal airspace is the bottleneck restricting the capacity of the whole airspace,and it is greatly restricted by the actual area,so that the controllers’ control deployment means are subject to many restrictions,which bring them some objective difficulties for the provision of control services.A scientific and reasonable plan for dividing the sector of the terminal airspace is conducive to the specific implementation of the control work,and is also an important part reflecting the reasonability of the airspace structure.Sector optimization based on complexity analysis is of great significance for balancing the control difficulty of each sector,solving the shortboard effect caused by excessive complexity difference between sectors,and improving the utilization rate of airspace.This paper studies the complexity of air traffic and the theories related to the division and optimization of the terminal area sector,combines the concepts related to the flexible use of airspace,and takes the airspace of xi ’an terminal area as an example to make the following studies:Firstly,the theory of sector division is expounded from the aspects of meaning、 principle and method,the definition and generation method of Voronoi diagram are introduced,and the internal similarity relationship of two-dimensional Voronoi diagram applied to sector division is analyzed.Secondly,in combination with the practical situation of xi ’an airspace terminal area,consider of two kinds of factors,the airspace structure and the aircraft operation,to extract the key factors affecting the use level of sector air traffic complexity analysis method,the influence of various factors affecting the weight value,by defining the complexity function to build static sectors complexity quantitative model.Thirdly,combining with spatial two-dimensional plane subdivision,a sector static optimization model aiming at balancing the complexity difference between sectors was proposed.To improve the ant colony combination optimization algorithm,which was applied to the static sector optimization in the peak traffic period of xi ’an terminal airspace.Finally,in the context of flexible use of airspace,due to the effectiveness of relevant military and civilian agreements,the role of conditional airway is mainly taken into account.The variation of the complexity of dynamic quantization sector dynamically adjusts the sector boundary,and the sector dynamic optimization of xi ’an terminal area is taken as an example to verify the rationality of the model.
