The Overview of Chengdu was written by Fu Chongju in the Qing Dynasty.It was published from September 1909 to June 1910 in the late Qing Dynasty.Fu Chongju once founded the first private newspaper in Chengdu.He knew the size of Chengdu at that time very well.Therefore,the contents mentioned in The Overview of Chengdu are very authentic.This book "cites the climate of mountains and rivers,local customs,agriculture,industry and commerce,diet dialect" and other relevant information about Chengdu at that time,is a local book recording the whole social situation of Chengdu in the late Qing Dynasty,and is also a valuable raw material for the study of Chengdu folklore in the late Qing Dynasty.This topic mainly studies the folk activities and the presentation of folk images about the festivals at the age recorded in The Overview of Chengdu.Firstly,the paper combs the festival folklore activities at Chengdu during the late Qing Dynasty in The Overview of Chengdu.Secondly,based on the literal description of the festival folklore in The Overview of Chengdu,combined with paintings and historical photographs,the festival folklore images of Chengdu in the late Qing Dynasty were created by innovative digital painting.Finally,the creation of folk images will be further applied to the design of creative products.Studying the traditional folk activities and image presentation of the festival at the age of one hand is to protect and inherit the local traditional culture,on the other hand,it can provide supplementary image information for the construction and development of traditional culture in Chengdu.It is of great significance to dig deeply the connotation and cultural value of The Overview of Chengdu,to carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture with Chengdu local characteristics,and to develop the creative industry with Chengdu cultural characteristics.This paper is mainly divided into five chapters to discuss the study of festival folklore and images in The Overview of Chengdu.The first chapter mainly discusses the background,purpose and relevant value of the festival folklore and image presentation in The Overview of Chengdu.In the second chapter,according to the relevant chapters in The Overview of Chengdu,which record the contents of festival folklore at the relevant age,the reasons for the historical evolution of these contents,the manifestation of cultural beliefs,and their classification and characteristics are analyzed.Chapter three extracts several important festivals and corresponding places of folk activities to analyze the appearance of the images of their folk activities;Chapter four mainly discusses the innovative forms of the festival folk images presented by this topic at the age of The Overview of Chengdu.The fifth chapter mainly shows the image rendering and related literary design using the research content.Through the above five chapters,this paper studies and discusses the festival folklore and its image presentation in The Overview of Chengdu.
