In this paper,the GDS dynamic triaxial test system is used to study the red clay in Chenggong area of Kunming,and various factors affecting the mechanical properties of red clay are analyzed.First,the basic physical and mechanical properties of red clay were analyzed by means of conventional geotechnical tests.The physical properties determine the mechanical properties,and the mechanical properties of the soil are studied after mastering the physical properties of the soil.The static triaxial and dynamic triaxial tests were carried out using the GDS dynamic triaxial test system.The effects of confining pressure,frequency and consolidation ratio on the mechanical properties of red clay were studied.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)Conventional triaxial test study.Through the conventional triaxial test,the influence of confining pressure on the shear strength of red clay was studied,and the shear strength index of red clay was obtained.The stress-strain relationship curve of red clay is analyzed.The Duncan-Zhang model is used to fit,and the mathematical model parameters are determined to obtain the expression of the incremental elastic modulus of the soil.(2)Dynamic triaxial test study.Through the dynamic triaxial test,the influence of confining pressure on the dynamic deformation characteristics of red clay was studied.Using the hyperbolic model to analyze the stress-strain relationship curve,the maximum dynamic elastic modulus,maximum shear modulus and damping ratio under different confining pressures are obtained.The effects of confining pressure on stress-strain curve,dynamic elastic modulus,dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio are analyzed.(3)The effect of frequency on the dynamic deformation characteristics of red clay was studied by dynamic triaxial test.Using the hyperbolic model to analyze the stress-strain relationship curve,the maximum dynamic elastic modulus.maximumshear modulus and damping ratio at different frequencies are obtained.The effects of frequency on stress-strain relationship curve,dynamic elastic modulus,dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio are analyzed.(4)The effect of consolidation ratio on the dynamic deformation characteristics of red clay was studied by dynamic triaxial test.Using the hyperbolic model to analyze the stress-strain relationship curve.,the maximum dynamic elastic modulus,maximum shear modulus and damping ratio at different consolidation ratios are obtained.The effects of consolidation ratio on stress-strain relationship curve,dynamic elastic modulus,dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio are analyzed.
