As a new type of roofing system,the standing seam metal roofing system is widely used in large public building projects because of its excellent waterproof performance and good deformability.Due to the lack of regulations for the design and construction of metal roofing systems in the existing codes,the phenomenon of metal roofing being damaged by strong winds has occurred frequently in recent years which have caused huge losses and casualties.The standing seam metal roofing system was applied to Bengbu Sports Center which covered with dragon scale plates as decoration.Dragon scale decoration plates are on the shape of spacial hyperboloid,the overall shape of the roof is complex and the wind field is extremely uneven in different regions.In order to ensure the performance reliability and connection safety of dragon scale metal roofs in Bengbu Center,and promote the application of metal roof system in practical projects,the following work has been carried out:(1)The composition and structure of dragon scale metal roof system in Bengbu Sports Center are described in detail.The BIM technology and method used in the deepening design process are introduced.The characteristics and difficulties of the project are described.The installation process,construction method and related control points of dragon scale metal roof system are introduced in detail.The successful completion of dragon scale metal roof project in Bengbu Sports Center can accumulate valuable experience for similar projects in the future.(2)In order to understand the wind resistance of dragon scale metal roof panel of Bengbu Sports Center and ensure its reliability and safety of connection,Based on the dragon scale metal roofing project of Bengbu Sports Center,five dragon scale metal roofing specimens were fabricated and processed.The wind-resistant behavior test of dragon scale metal roof was carried out by air bag method.The effect of the fixed support,the type and quantity of lock clip on the wind resistance of the dragon scale metal roof was investigated.The failure modes of the dragon scale metal roof and strain distribution under wind loads were discussed.The rules of the dragon scale metal roof in the damage process were explored.The wind resistance test results can provide scientific basis for the design,construction and healthy operation of dragon scale metal roof.(3)In order to understand the distribution of wind pressure on the surface of Bengbu Sports Center under wind load,the whole wind tunnel pressure test of Bengbu Sports Center was carried out,and the wind pressure distribution and wind load on the surface of the building structure were obtained.The structural dynamic characteristics of each building structure were obtained through the modal analysis of the building structure by the structural analysis software,and the wind-induced response and equivalent static wind load of the structure were obtained through calculation.The wind tunnel pressure test data and calculation results can provide reference for the design and construction of dragon scale metal roof system in Bengbu Sports Center.
