In this paper,aiming at the insufficiency of flexible and rapid adjustment of pulse width in pulse forming line method,the paper can adjust the relative dielectric constant of pulse forming line medium by changing the proportional relationship between ethylene glycol and deionized water,so as to realize the continuous pulse width of pulse power supply experimental system.Tune to explore new ways to adjust the pulse width.First,a liquid electrode system suitable for high-frequency testing was designed to measure the relative dielectric constant of ethylene glycol,deionized water and its mixed liquid(10%,30%,50%,80%)and its variation.It is found that the relative dielectric constant of the mixed liquid of ethylene glycol and deionized water is between the relative dielectric constant of ethylene glycol and deionized water,and the relative dielectric constant decreases with the increase of ethylene glycol content.Secondly,the coaxial structure mixed liquid pulse transmission line was developed,and the transmission characteristics of ethylene glycol,deionized water and its mixed liquid(10%,30%,50%,80%)were tested on a square wave pulse generator.The study found that when the ethylene glycol,deionized water and its mixed liquid(10%,30%,50%,80%)are used as the transmission medium of the pulse transmission line,the pulse width of the pulse transmission line output pulse is in the range of 10-18 ns.The change,and as the ethylene glycol content increases,the output pulse width of the pulse transmission line shows a downward trend.Finally,the experimental system of magnetic compression pulse power system combined with coaxial structure liquid pulse forming line(pulse transmission line + liquid switch)was established,and the nanosecond adjustable pulse width of different ratios of ethylene glycol and deionized water mixed liquid was formed to form the line medium.Experimental study of high voltage pulse generation.It is found that the output waveform of the system is approximately square wave and the pulse width varies in the range of 10-17 ns after adding ethylene glycol,deionized water and their mixed liquids(10%,30%,50%,80%)into the pulse forming line respectively.By comparing with the theoretical calculation value,it shows that the measurement data is authentic and reliable,and the development of a nanosecond pulse power supply system with output pulse width continuously adjustable from 10 to 17 ns is completed.
