Urban underpass tunnels effectively alleviate urban congestion.However,its illuminance difference with the outside world,monotonous underground traffic environment and relatively special building structure also make it a frequent occurrence of traffic accidents in urban road systems.Since urban underpass tunnels are generally located at important traffic nodes,the occurrence of tunnel accidents will have a greater impact on road traffic operations,resulting in significant losses to personnel and the economy.Therefore,it is imperative to improve the city's underpass tunnel environment,improve the driver's vigilance in driving through the tunnel,and ensure that the driver's driving safety is imperative.This thesis takes urban underpass tunnel as the research object,and uses the color change of the side wall to improve the tunnel driving environment,improve the driver's vigilance,or alleviate the negative emotion brought by the tunnel environment,and reduce the tunnel accident.Based on the characteristics of urban underpass tunnel accidents and the theory of color,this thesis designs the side wall patterns of different sections of the tunnel with patterns of nature animals as the reference object,in order to optimize the driver's behavior and physiology.Meanwhile,simulation experiment was carried out to collect behavior and physiological data to test the effect of side wall pattern,as well as using subjective evaluation questionnaire to evaluate the subjective comfort of drivers under the influence of different side wall patterns.Finally,this thesis establishes a gray near-optimal comprehensive model to evaluate the comprehensive effect of different patterns.The results discovered that the driver's speed,lane deviation and heart rate are different under the influence of different sidewall patterns.At the entrance of the city tunnel,the combination of red-yellow side wall pattern has the best comprehensive effect on the driver,which can effectively improve the driver's vigilance and reduce the driving speed;The color pattern of the side wall has a better effect on the tunnel length of 50 m and 100 m,and the effect of the side wall pattern has a weakening trend with the increase of the tunnel length;At the exit of the city tunnel,the yellow-black combination side wall pattern has the best overall effect on the driver,which plays a role in improving the driver's vigilance and reducing the driver's driving speed.
