A Study On Spatio-Temporal Evolution And Its Driving Mechanism Of Households' Consuming Behaviors In Jianghan Plain

As human geography pays more and more attention to the practical problems of human and society,and the study of human behavior and its interaction with space is increasing,the study of human daily life behavior has become a new perspective of human-land relationship in human geography.The living space is the space carrier of human daily life beha vior,the place where various activities are carried out to meet the various needs of human life,and the space aggregation of daily activities such as residents living,employment,consumption and leisure.Consumption space is one of its important components.Consumption behavior is the purchase of goods or services by consumers to meet their needs and the process of spatial interaction between specific places or facilities is an important perspective for the study of consumer space.Since the beginning of the new century,the accelerated development of regional industrialization and urbanization has led to dramatic changes in urban and rural space,which in turn has led to significant changes in the consumption space of urban and rural residents.However,at present,the research on residents' onsumption behavior in China focuses on cities,while the research on rural areas is less.In the new era,the development of rural households' consumption has broken through the constraints of the traditional "grass-roots market community".The new rural consumption space is being reconstructed and reacts on farmers' consumption behavior.Jianghan Plain,located in the central part of China,is a traditional agricultural area with a long history of regional agricultural production and typical development of rural consunption space.Based on the macro-background of rural transformation,spatial reconstruction and national policy orientation,this paper takes Gongan County in Jianghan Plain as the case area,and rural residents' consumption behavior as the breakthrough point.It mainly uses behavioral geography theory,central geography theory and spatial production theory,and based on the relevant data obtained from rural households'interviews and questionnaires.Interpreting and describing the consumption behavior and its spatial footprint of rural residents in Jianghan Plain,analyzing the spatio-temporal characteristics of residents'consumption behavior,starting from the characteristics of residents' consumption behavior,analyzing the evolution of rural households'consumption spatio-temporal structure and consumption travel location,constructing the spatio-temporal hierarchical structure model,revealing the spatio-temporal evolution law of rural households' consumption behavior.By analyzing the evolution of rural external environment in Jianghan Plain and the influence of the intrinsic motivation of rural households'ttributes on rural households'consumption behavior,this paper explores the driving mechanism of the evolution of the spatio-temporal structure of rural households'consumption behavior,and reveals the interaction law and mechanism between rural households' consumption activities and environmental changes in the case area.The study found:(1)The basic characteristics of rural households'consumption behavior are as follows:the consumption frequency of rural households increases,and the consumption frequency is negatively correlated with the commodity grade;the consumption duration of low-grade comlodities decreases,the consumption duration of high-grade commodities increases,and the consurrption duration is positively correlated with the commodity grade;the average consumption's travel time of rural households is decreasing,and the decline extent is negatively correlated with the commodity grade.The average consumption's travel distance is polarized,low-grade comnodities decline,high-grade commodities rise;the degree of mobility of rural households'consumptionof travel vehicles is rising,and is positively correlated with commodity grade.(2)The evolution of spatio-temporal structure of rural households'consumption behavior shows different characteristics.From the perspective of spatial evolution,low-grade commodities are clustered in residential areas,clothes in high-grade commodities are characterized by wide-area,high-grade electrical appliances are divided into two levels,and they are clustered in short distance and diffused in long distance.From the perspective of temporal evolution,the trend of short-term agglomeration of low-grade commodities is strengthened,Multicenter characteristics of high-grade commodities are weakened and short-term agglomeration increased.(3)The evolvement of different types of commodity consumption location and consumption travel hierarchical structure has its own characteristics.Vegetables and food gather in administrative villages,daily necessities gather in administrative villages and townsh's,clothes gather in cities and counties,high-grade electrical appliances are divided into two levels,and gather in towns and cities.Based on the evolution of the hierarchical structure of the average consunption travel space distance,the low-grade commodities declined and differentiated,and the high-grade commodities gradually converged;the hierarchical structure based on the average consumption travel time distance evolved;the hierarchical structure of all kinds of commodities declined,and the lower-grade commodities declined more than the higher-grade commodities.(4)Analyzing the influence of rural households'attributes and external environment on the evolution of spatio-temporal structure of consumption behavior,and constructing a comprehensive driving mechanism for the evolution of spatio-temporal structure of rural households'consumption behavior.It is believed that the internal attributes of rural households' families and heads of households,the external attributes of natural,social and economic environment,as well as the interaction of internal and external factors,Both though direct and indirect effects promote the evolution of spatio-temporal structure of rural househokis'consumption behavior.
