With the increase of natural gas demand,people pay more and more attention to the improvement of gas flow measurement technology.Ultrasonic flowmeter has gradually become an important instrument in the field of natural gas measurement due to its wide measuring range,no pressure loss,high measuring precision and strong adaptability of flow field.However,the verification process of national verification regulations for natural gas flowmeters is inefficient and takes a long time.Therefore,it is necessary to study the verification method of ultrasonic flowmeters in tandem arrangement,which can improve the verification efficiency and has high engineering application value.In this paper,the application of the verification method of ultrasonic flowmeters in tandem arrangement is studied in detail,which is mainly divided into three parts: the actual flow experiment of flowmeter,the numerical simulation of verification in tandem arrangement,and the study on the influencing factors.(1)The several types of flowmeters are carried out by setting up a series test bench of flowmeter verification,which proved the operation and feasibility of the method.(2)Numerical simulation method was used to verify the experimental results.After flow field analysis,the conclusion was drawn: ultrasonic flowmeters can be verified in series,but the number of verification is limited by its diameter and sound channel distribution rule.Generally speaking,for the same type of flowmeters,the larger the diameter is,the more number of flowmeters can be verified at the same time.The number of series verifiers is more than that of refractive ultrasonic flowmeters.(3)The length of the front section,the inner diameter difference between the series flowmeters and the change of groove structure are calculated numerically.
