In view of he problems of small size,light weight and adjustable backlash in the field of worm,a new type of internal meshing drum worm drive,drum worm drive with variable tooth thickness intemal gear envelope extemal rotor drum worm drive with variable tooth thickmess internal gear envelope external rotor,is proposed by professor Wang jin ge.Based on the meshing theory and analysis of meshing performance,the isothermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication characteristics of the new drum worm tran smission pair were analyzed under ideal conditions and the thermo elastohy drodynamic lubrication characteristics were analyzed under close to working conditions.The main work contents are as follows:Based on gear engagement theory and differential geometry and activity price method,the new drum vice better meshing worm drive system was established,the meshing equation,the contact line equation and the worm tooth surface equation was deduced,and The calculation formulas related to meshing characteristics of transmission pairs were obtained,thus completing the meshing theory research.The calculation program of the main parameters related to the meshing of theof transmission par is compiled by using thee numerical calculation sortware MATLAB.The meshing performance of the transmission pair is studied and analyzed according to the calculated results.Based on cylindrical worm drive pair of meshing theory and elastic hydrodynamic lubrication theory and on the basis of Newton fuid elastohy drodynamic lubrication model,the simplified form of cylindrical worm pair isothermal elastohy drodynamic lubrication model and the mathematical model of line contact elastohy drodynamic lubrication were established,according to this,the Newton iteration method is used to solve it numerically,and by using Fortran language to write the drum elastohydrodynamic lubrication of the worm drive vice numerical analysis program,the relevant lubrication characteristic curve is calculated,thus the main parameters affecting the elastohydrodyamic lubrication performance of the new drum worm gearing pair are preliminarily analyzed.Based on the isothermal elastohy drodynamic lubrication analysis,the influence of temperature on the elastohydrodynamic lubrication of the new drum worm gearing was introduced,and the thermal elastohydrodynamic analysis was carried out by using multi-grid technology.Based on Fortran language,the thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication numerical analysis program of the new drum worm gearing pair is compiled,and its thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication characteristic curve is obtained,and on the basis of it,the main parameters affecting the thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication performance of the new drum worm gearing pair are preliminarily analyzed.
