With the development of economic,the number of cars in the market is increasing,the problem of car’s cleaning and maintenance need every owner to face.Car washing is a part of car maintenance.Traditional manual car washing requires too much manpower and has many shortcomings such as insufficient use of water resources and low efficiency.With the cost of labor increasing and the development of science and technology,unmanned automatic car washing will gradually replace the traditional way of car washing.This dissertation proposes an automatic car washing system based on machine vision,which has the advantages of small floor space,cost saving and high efficiency.Through the fully automatic car washing process,we hope to provide an effective solution to the car washing problem of the society.First of all,this dissertation analyzes the current market situation of the car washing and the research direction of automatic car washer at home and abroad.According to the market demand for the function of car washer,a design scheme of automatic washer system based on machine vision is proposed.After the overall plan is determined,this dissertation is mainly divided into two parts.One the one hand,this dissertation proposes a method of feature extraction and edge detection on cars.Firstly,the image processing related to this design are introduced.Next,the basic algorithm needed for this design is introduced based on the theoretical knowledge.Then,the algorithm flow and experiment of feature extraction and edge detection part algorithm are given.Finally,the conversion of coordinated under two cameras were also carried out for cameras required in the car washer system.On the other hand,The engineering realization scheme of automatic car washing machine control system is given.The camera calibration and communication is designed.The model construction and simulation verification were carried out for the two-degree-of-freedom robot required for this design.Software and hardware are designed for the controller(STM32),and the key hardware circuit components are selected and parameterized.Last but not least,the overall software design and sub-link software design of the system based on machine vision is given,but also the software flow chart.and host computer interface.In the end,the writer summarizes the dissertation and puts forwards the shortcomings and prospects.
