The positive significance of pumped storage power stations for grid stability makes pump turbines more widely used.Frequent operation of the unit to switch between pumping and power generation,resulting in complex and variable working conditions of the pump turbine,the internal flow conditions will undergo a series of changes,which may cause the pump turbine to enter some unstable conditions,such as the hump area.Unstable operation may cause abnormal vibrations such as abnormal vibration of the unit,which may threaten the safety of the unit.Based on the understanding of the research status at domestic and foreign,this paper takes the pump-turbine model as the research object,and numerically simulates the internal flow field of some working conditions through CFD technology,and studies the flow field changes in the various components of the pump-turbine.The reason for the internal formation provides a certain theoretical reference for the improvement of the operation status of other pump turbines.The main content includes use Pro/Engineer establishing a pump turbine model,and meshing by using the Ansys CFD pre-processor ICEM software.Full-flow numerical simulation of pump-turbine model using CFX software,choose SST k-? turbulence model,the calculation of the steady conditions of different portions of simulation flow condition.The CFD-post software was used to obtain the treatment map to observe the pressure changes of the pump turbine and the flow velocity and direction of the internal water flow.
