Gear is a widely used transmission device.The meshing efficiency and power loss have a significant impact on its transmission performance.At present,there are many studies on the theory of gear meshing efficiency,but there is a lack of a method to verify its reliability through experiments.In the process of analyzing the power loss of gear transmission,researchers found that the installation position of motor and loader has a significant impact on its power loss.In this paper,the best installation position of motor and loader in the test bench and the verification method of gear-meshing efficiency test are taken as the research objectives.The following studies are mainly carried out:(1)Taking the motor and loader as the research object,the relationship between the installation position and the power loss of the power enclosed gear test-bed is explored,and the formula for calculating the supplementary power required by the motor and loader at different installation positions is deduced.The finite element model of the power enclosed herringbone gear test-bed is established,and the flexible simulation analysis is carried out to obtain the theoretical optimum of the motor and loader installation location(2)The power loss in the power closed herringbone gear test-bed is analyzed.According to the composition of no-load and load loss,the theoretical method of obtaining meshing efficiency by test is put forward,and the calculation formula is deduced..(3)The design requirement and working principle of power closed herringbone gear test-bed are analyzed.The main parts of the test-bed include herringbone gear,upsetting shaft,frequency conversion speed regulating motor and dynamic torque sensor are calculated and selected.Finally,the design and construction of the test-bed are completed.(4)Using the power closed herringbone gear test bench,the experiments of the motor and loader at different installation positions and meshing efficiency are carried out.By comparing with the simulation and meshing efficiency theoretical calculation formulas,the reliability of the theoretical optimal installation position and the feasibility of the method of obtaining meshing efficiency by experiment are affirmed.Based on a large number of experimental data analysis,the influence of torque and speed on gear meshing efficiency is studied.
