Precast Pre-stressed Self-centering Structure System was proposed in 1990 s.In this system, precast members(beams, columns and walls)are connected through posttensioned tendons, which enable relatively larger rotation between these members so that the structure could bounce to initial state after earthquakes with miniscule or no residual deformation.However,Self-centering Structure System is not extensively adopted in engineering application despite more than 20 years' academic study.Among many reasons for this disappointing situation, the damage control for non-structural components in the System is one of the most significant.During earthquakes, the nodal deformation in Self-centering Structure System is much bigger than that in traditional structure systems, which consequently results into more severe damage in non-structural components, especially in infill walls. Therefore, even if the main structure could bounce back to initial state with self-centering characteristics, the damage in non-structural components would also undermine the function of building structures. This thesis studies the construction and design methods for infill wall' damage control, based on its behavior in Precast Pre-stressed Self-centering RC Frames. The following work is completed in this thesis.(1)Design low-damage infill walls for 1:2 scaled Self-centering RC Frames. The low-damage design includes two kinds of flexible infill wall-frame connections and two kinds of height-width ratio, which is meant for studying the influence of wall-frame connection and height-width ratio on infill walls' seismic performance and damage control capacity.(2)Deploy sensors to monitor infill wall deformation and damage.During the shaking table tests for Self-centering RC Frames with low-damage infill walls, the damage sequence of the four types of infill walls are observed and recorded.(3)Sort experiment data of four types of infill walls and analyze the influence of wall-frame connection and height-width ratio on infill walls' seismic performance and damage control capacity.Based on the infill walls' damage characteristics, infill walls' damage parameter and damage level are defined. Then, fragility curves for four types of infill walls are obtained according to experiment data.
