As a capacitor employed in special fields,high voltage pulse capacitor can release a lot of electric energy in a very short time and is widely used in military,medical and other fields with devices such as disinfection,laser,X-ray generator and so on.These high-voltage pulse capacitors operate in the repetition mode and the repetition operation will cause great energy loss and electrodynamic damage of the inner parts of the capacitors.Therefore,the charging and discharging life of high voltage pulse capacitor at a certain frequency has become one of the important indexes of insulation characteristics.The life test is very important for the measurement of high repetition rate,long life,low inductance and high specific energy of high voltage pulse capacitor.In this thesis,a set of equipment to test the life of high voltage pulse capacitors is designed and the equipment adopts modularization design,high frequency resonance charging technology,and PLC control.It has the advantages of high reliability,low cost,and low loss,which make it suitable for life test of high voltage pulse capacitors.Firstly,according to the charging requirement of the life test of the high voltage pulse capacitors,the charging mode of the high frequency resonant charging power supply is determined to simulate the actual working condition of the charging process of the high voltage pulse capacitors and the mathematical modeling is performed.The detailed design of the high frequency resonant charging power supply is given by PSIM simulation with the actual design index of the power supply.Secondly,the monitoring system based on S7-200PLC(CPU226XM)is designed according to the control requirement of repetition test and it effectively solves the problem of operation security in the running process of the system.Finally,the discharge mechanism of the high voltage pulse capacitor is analyzed by establishing the mathematical model and simulation.Based on this mechanism,the design of the backstage discharge circuit of the system is given.With this design,we have successfully completed a prototype of adjustable high voltage pulse capacitor test system with charging voltage ranging from 0 to 50 kV and reliable measurement of charge and discharge life parameters of high voltage pulse capacitor has been obtained with high accuracy.The integrated intelligent operation of monitoring system is employed and the stability and reliability of the high voltage pulse capacitor test system are verified to meet the requirement.
