With the rapid development of economy, people's living standard is getting higher and higher, and residents' requirements on indoor air quality are also improving, which makes the use of air purifiers become more and more popular.Multi-blade centrifugal fans have the advantages of high pressure coefficient and large flow coefficient, which are often used in air purifiers and also the main sources of power and noise of air purifiers. As is an important stationary part in centrifugal fan, volute transports the gas from impeller to indoor space.Although there is no new energy added to the gas in the volute, the gas in the volute still carries out energy conversion in different forms.Different structural parameters of the volute have an important impact on the aerodynamic performance and aeroacoustic noise of the fan. Many researches on the volute at home and abroad are only used a single performance parameter as a measure index or studied by considering different structure parameters of the volute with ignoring the interaction between the structural parameters. This article takes the volute of multi-blade centrifugal fan installed in an air purifier as the research subject. In order to improve the air volume and reduce aeroacoustic noise,FLUENT is used for the two-dimensional steady and unsteady analysis of the multi-blade centrifugal fan,and Ffowcs Williams&Hawkings(FW-H)equation is combined to solve the sound field of the centrifugal fan.The combination of different volute structure parameters is designed by orthogonal test method, and the flow field and noise under different duct parameters are analyzed. The influence of different volute parameters on the aerodynamic performance and noise of the fan and the interaction between the parameters are analyzed by polynomial response surface and Sobol method. The neural network(BP)combined with the genetic algorithm(GA)was used to fit the functional relationship between volute structure parameters and air volume also the relationship between volute structure parameters and aeroacoustic noise. The air volume and noise objective function is optimized by the NSGA-? algorithm. The aerodynamic performance of the optimized fan is analyzed and the results of the study provide a guide for improving the air volume of the fan and reducing the noise of the fan.
