As one of the most commonly used forms of mechanical transmission,gear systems are used in a wide variety of applications.In the transmission process,the dynamic performance change of the system will have a great impact on the smoothness of the entire mechanical operation.Therefore,in order to effectively reduce the vibration and noise phenomenon of mechanical products in operation,it is very necessary to develop the study of gear system dynamics and shape modification in order to effectively reduce the vibration and noise phenomena in the process of operation of mechanical products.According to the basic theory of gear dynamics,the dynamic modeling of helical gears,the analysis of nonlinear dynamic characteristics,the analysis of inherent characteristics and the study of shape modification are completed in this paper.The concrete work in this paper includes:(1)Using MATLAB and Workbench respectively,the modal analysis of the helical gear is carried out by two methods,the inherent characteristics of the whole gear system are studied,and the final results of the two methods are compared,and the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are clarified.(2)The nonlinear kinematics model of the helical gear pair considering the clearance is established,and the nonlinear differential equations of the system vibration are obtained and dimensionless.According to the known parameters,the differential equations are solved by Matlab,and the Simulink simulation model is established in Matlab for further analysis to study the influence of different parameter changes on the system characteristics,including load ratio,backlash and damping ratio.It is convenient to select the appropriate parameter range to provide reference for the optimized design of the gear.(3)The main modification methods of the helical gear are explored,and the influence of each modification parameter on the vibration characteristics of the gear is analyzed,so that a suitable range of values is obtained.Finally,the values of each modification parameter are selected within the range.The ANSYS Workbench was used to analyze the static analysis and transient characteristics of the helical gear pair model before and after the modification,and to observe the contact stress changes of the tooth surface before and after the modification.
