A Study On The Hull Structure Design Of 38K Handy Size Bulk Carrier Based On CSR-H

Handy size bulk carrier is one of the main types of bulk carriers with the characteristics of lower draught and excellent seagoing ability.With the dramatic fluctuation of fuel price and the recession of shipping market,shipping lines' requirement of cost control is increasingly strong.Shipbuilding industry also emphasizes more the development and optimization of design products while the competition becomes particularly fierce.In this situation,the major ship designer companies of handy size bulk carriers have to compete with each other and constantly optimize their own products to maintain their shares in the market.In the process of the structure development of 38 K handy size bulk carriers,this thesis,based on the Common Structure Rules for Bulk carriers and Oil Tankers,analyzes the design load of the target vessel,the structure strength of the cargo area by making comparisons and optimizing it,the best geometric element of the corrugated transverse bulkhead with the parameterization optimization,and the slamming strength of the fore ship's bottom.And this thesis also analyzes the influences of the Common Structure Rules for Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers to the structure and size of the handy size bulk carries.
