Trailing suction hopper dredger is a kind of hydraulic dredgers.It's with the characteristics of self-propelled,self-contained,powerful and complex structures.Such dredger applicable to the waters of the open bays,estuaries,seaports,river dredging operation,widely used around the world in large dredging projects.Trailing suction hopper dredger monitor system is one of the important equipment on the trailing suction dredger.It reflects the advanced technology level of the dredger.It mainly implements control and monitoring of suction tube,dredging pumps,hopper doors,dredging valves,jet pumps,the hydraulic system,and output calculations and statistics functions.With the help of dredging monitoring system can improve the efficiency of dredging construction,ensuring safe operation and improve management level.Based on the exposition and analysis of the mainly trailing suction hopper dredger dredging equipment and dredging process,combined with the overall objectives and requirements of the dredging monitoring system,and development and characteristics of software and hardware on related systems at home and abroad.For medium to large trailing suction hopper dredger,we did some design,implement and research on dredging monitor and control system.The main research work of this paper includes the following aspects.First,the overall design of the network,the main network using fiber ring network with redundancy capabilities,the PC system and PLC system are access to two fiber-optic network to achieve a stable communicate with each other.Second,design major subsystems of the dredging monitoring system,such as: hydraulic control system,hopper door control system,jet pump flushing system,suction pipe control system and loading system,including control rules of each system,interface design,system design and calculation methods and so on.Suction pipe automatic control system built on the basis of the trailing suction control system,to improve automation level of the trailing suction hopper dredger control system.Third,the system uses the iFix configuration software to achieve the hardware communications,real-time computing,human-computer interaction,and other functions of trailing suction hopper dredger monitor and control system,and also provides interface to communicate with other software.The system is clear,friendly and fully functional.Fourth,based on common database technology,this paper proposed a method to extract real-time monitoring data is stored in an external Universal Database,which facilitates the export and analysis of relevant data.It provides a data base for the future use of further dredging data,and a valuable reference for other dredging.This paper presents a suction dredger dredging monitor and control system design and implementation based on the advanced configuration software architecture.It meets the real needs of users,and provides data support for future re-use of data for further dredging.The combination of hardware and software formed a highly efficient,stable,user-friendly multifunction dredger monitor and control system.And it had a certain promotion and reference value on related projects.
