This paper studies the flight dynamics characteristics of a single-rotor helicopter with tail rotor taking off and landing on a ship by using MATLAB/Simulink software.Firstly,the CFD calculation model of SFS2 ship flow field is established by using fluid simulation software Star-CCM+,and the ship airwake of SFS2 ship under different wind conditions is calculated,and then the flow field database of the ship is formed.Then,the flight dynamics model of helicopter shipboard operations is established by using vector method,which takes into account the influence of the ship airwake.And then the model is transformed into the corresponding Simulink model.On this basis,the SFS2 ship flow field database is used as flow field environment on ship surface,and the shipboard hover trim calculation of a certain unmanned helicopter was carried out by using Simulink Linear Analysis Tool.The hover balance characteristics of the helicopter is then obtained.The calculation results show that the roll angle and the tail rotor collective pitch of the helicopter are sensitive to the changes of wind direction and wind speed when hovering on the ship surface.Subsequently,based on the flight dynamics Simulink model of helicopter shipboard operations,this paper introduces criteria of control,attitude angle and power,and establishes the Wind Over Deck(WOD)envelope calculation model.The WOD envelope of an unmanned helicopter cooperating with SFS2 ship is then obtained by trim calculation.Finally,the ship airwake of a safe wind condition is selected as the shipboard simulation flow field environment according to the envelope,and the PID control model is introduced into the flight dynamics Simulink model of shipboard operations.The simulation of shipboard hover is then carried out for a certain unmanned helicopter.The simulation results show that the PID control model designed in this paper has good control effect,and the control model can make the helicopter hover stably in the turbulent ship airwake.
