With the increasing complexity of engineering optimization problems,the problem of optimizing structural size,shape or topology variables singly has been basically solved,but more and more attention has been paid to the integrated optimization problems involving various types of design variables,such as size,shape and topology.Structural integrated optimization problems usually have many characteristics,such as complex types of variables,large number of variables,variable coupling,many constraints and so on.It is difficult to solve such problems.The current optimization methods have some shortcomings,such as low accuracy,easy to fall into local optimal solution,complex solution and unable to realize automatic solution.Therefore,a more effective and reliable method of structural integrated optimization is proposed,which has both theoretical significance and engineering value.This paper reviews the development of structural optimization design,and systematically introduces the basic concepts,essential ideas,classification,optimization methods and main solving algorithms of structural optimization design.This paper systematically combs the existing treatment strategies for the structural integrated optimization problems studied in this paper,compares and analyses the characteristics,applicability and application of various existing treatment technologies.Based on the shortcomings of the existing processing strategies,this paper proposes An Integrated Optimization Method of Structural Size,Shape and Topology with the idea of design of experimental and approximate model.The size,shape and topology of the structure are considered to find the global optimal solution of the optimization problem.The essence of this method is to give full play to the advantages of different levels of optimization methods and find the best combination of structural size,shape and topology.In this paper,using Isight software and the secondary development technology of Catia,Patran/Nastran and OptiStruct,an automated solution platform of structural integrated optimization is built.Finally,the integrated optimization design method proposed in this paper is applied to the integrated optimization design of I-beam and two typical parts of aircraft-wing rib and flaps arm structure.Good design results are obtained by using the automatic solution platform built in this paper,which shows the correctness,feasibility and validity of the method proposed in this paper.This method provides a new idea and reliable reference for designers to carry out structural integrated optimization design,and also provides a direction for further development and improvement of structural optimization software,that is,it has the ability of structural integrated optimization and structural automation intelligent design.
