| A novel approach to estimate rotor position of a dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)at low and zero speed is investigated in this research work.A position estimation algorithm is developed in two dimensional nature stationary frame. The algorithm exploits the transient response of line currents, which are integrated within fundamental PWM cycle to estimate rotor position and speed. For successful implementation of proposed algorithm analytical model of inductances is developed and reported in this work.Proposed method of rotor position estimation is validated using Matlab /Simulink under different operating conditions.Due to the HF switching oscillations caused by the switching of the IGBT and parasitic capacitance, the accuracy of the current measurement is reduced and requires a minimum vector time.In this regard,a time extension scheme for vectors is also introduced and different simulation models are developed to assert the accuracy of time extension scheme. |
