To deal wth the contradiction between rapid growth of power system overhead transmission line and stable scale of manpower,it is urgent to introduce a technology that can reduce manpower for inspection and management.The 3D real-time modeling technology of overhead transmission lines based on multi-rotor drone equipped with tilt photogrammetry which is studied in this paper,is based on such a demand.The paper is divided into two major sections,which are the adaptive development of data collection system for overhead transmission lines that is based on multi-rotor drone and tilt photogrammetry,tilt photogrammetric data processing and 3D modeling.The study and development of drone and camera adapted for the overhead transmission line are based on combination of theory and practice.And multiple tracks of drone are particularly designed for overhead transmission lines.So far,a set of aerial tilt photography data collection system dedicated for overhead transmission lines that contains software and hardware forms.Chapter 3 is mainly about the traditional technique for 3D modeling of common object.which includes feature points extracting and matching form image,and aerial triangulation.Chapter 4 purposes a new modeling method which combines the data provided by photos and ideal model of towers and wires of transmission lines.The new solution overcomes the problem that models of towers and wires reconstructed by traditional way do not satisfy our demand.So The models of towers and wires can present their real shape.With the models of towers,wires and common object which build separately merged,the 3D model of overhead transmission lines satisfy the demand for us.The 3D model established now is capable to reduce the need of human resource in inspection and measurement.And further ideas for the subsequent development of advanced applications are provided by the basic functions such as the integration of GIS and 3D realscene model,high precision measurement,automatic warning of safe distance.
