Aircraft smart skin technology can improve structural safety and reduce maintenance costs.Composite materials are widely used in aerospace structures,but they are prone to damage when impact occurred.The impact of aircraft is a random transient event,so it is necessary to integrate impact monitoring system and sensor arrays in smart skins to realize large-area real-time online impact monitoring.In this thesis,a large-area flexible impact monitoring network for smart skin is developed.The main contents of this thesis are listed as follows:Firstly,an impact region localization method based on truncated reverse weighted sum is proposed.The truncated reverse weight is used to characterize the extent to which the sensor is affected by an impact.The impact is located in the sub-region which is most affected.The method has low computational complexity and reduces the hardware requirements of the monitoring system.The method is then verified on a composite plate structure.Secondly,a large-area continuous heterogeneous networking method for impact monitoring sensor arrays is proposed.By combining a series of sensors in the network into a single continuous sensor,the problem of using large number of lead wires and occupying many channels of the monitoring system is solved.Combined with the impact region localization method proposed above,the function of the method was verified on the composite plate structure and an UAV composite wing box.Thirdly,a flexible impact region monitoring system is designed and the impact region localization method based on truncated reverse weighted sum is integrated into the system.A large-area flexible sensing-processing integrated network system for smart skin impact monitoring is developed,and the integration and functional verification of the system with composite skins is realized.In this paper,a simple and reliable impact region localization method and a lightweight piezoelectric sensor network are proposed.A flexible impact region monitoring system is designed and a large-area flexible impact region monitoring network is developed.Finally,the impact monitoring function of the network is verified by experiments.
