Radio frequency(RF)relay is a relay used to transmit and switch RF signals,also known as microwave switches.Radio frequency relay can transmit and disconnect radio frequency signal almost without distortion.When the contact is closed,it has low insertion loss and voltage standing wave ratio,and has high isolation when the contact is disconnected.Radio frequency electromagnetic relay has the incomparable advantages compared with traditional relay,so it is widely used in military and civil fields.With the development of radio frequency technology,the frequency and power of signals that need to be transmitted or cut off are increasing,and the performance requirements of radio frequency relays are getting higher and higher.Based on the virtual prototyping simulation and optimization design technology,this paper takes our company’s JPT-20 F RF relay as the research object,and achieves the goal of improving the consistency of the product’s RF performance.Firstly,the three-dimensional solid model of the contact system of the radio frequency relay is established by using SolidWorks software,and the RF performance of the contact system is analyzed based on Ansoft HFSS finite element software,including insertion loss,voltage standing wave ratio and isolation degree;the RF performance of the relay contact system is measured by vector network analyzer and compared with the simulation results.Secondly,the influence of the process parameters of the main components of the relay contact system on the RF performance of the relay is studied.The influence of mechanical parameters on the RF performance of the relay is studied.The key factors affecting the RF performance of the relay are determined.Thirdly,based on the determinate key factors affecting the RF performance of the relay,the orthogonal test method is used to design the robustness parameters,the Ansoft HFSS finite element software is used to simulate the calculation,the internal and external surface direct product method is used to test the calculation,and the traditional SNR analysis method is used to determine the optimal RF performance of the relay.The simulation results show that the parameter optimization is effective.Finally,based on the robust tolerance design method,the influence of the tolerance range of the relay contact system parameters on the RF performance of the relay is studied.The optimal tolerance allocation scheme is obtained by using the contribution rate analysis method.The tolerance range of the process parameters is determined,and the simulation calculation is carried out.The physical prototype is implemented.The measured data are calculated and analyzed to verify the validity of the simulation results and improve the quality consistency of the batch products.
