With the development of industrial automation technology,the welding robots,gradually replace workers,play an increasingly important role body welding.Spot welding robot is one kind of the welding robot,and the study of its path and trajectory planning is less in its early application because of its simple task and slow rhythm of work.But with the development of the manufacturing industry,especially the automotive industry,automation level enhancement daily,welding robots are widely used and the welding tasks are becoming more and more complex,so how to improve the production efficiency of welding line,become the focus of attention.So in order to meet the demand,we begin the process of optimization and simulation analysis in the design phase,this adjustments can eliminate most of the questions before entering the actual production.Change in the technology,also brought new requirements to the project management,this project stagger production phase and design phase,any problem of information transmission will bring cost loss.So to form a set of perfect optimization simulation project management process,is the essential condition of enterprise at present stage.This paper use the welding process of front-floor outer panel as an example.The paper introduce the car body welding process,and studies the three objects that affect the welding efficiency and cost:parts,welding process and the product resource.Based on understanding the affect objects,establish the team for welding optimization and simulation project,we divided the team into five aspects: data,knowledge,process,personnel and project management.This paper studies the robot welding optimization and simulation project,so the first task is to optimize welding process.the equipment work time and single point welding time basic is fixed,so look for a path that finished all welding spots and cost minimal time means great to improving the working efficiency of the robot welding station.So the direction of this paper is research the robot path planning in a certain process environment.This welding sequence thought,the mathematical model of it is the famous traveling salesman problem.According to the characteristic of the robot welding,chooses Ant Colony System as the planning arithmetic.Then using VISUAL STUDIO program the software of planning,to test and verify the accuracy of the software,the paper take a robotfor example,use the software and artificial planning to do the welding path planning,then compared two paths are obtained,we can see the advantages of the software.On this basis,the application of Tecnomatix(the Process Designer and Process Simulate module)is applied to implement the simulation of welding robot at front-floor station,in order to solve the problem of interference.In three dimensional space,verifies the feasibility and availability of the planning method.
