In this paper,the author company confronted RAST5.0 connector higher insertion force and complaint from end user.By analysis of each influence factor of connector insertion force and establishment of mathematical model,in order to find out the main factor of connector insertion force.Based on the characteristics of DOE(design Of experiment),to make a DOE plan.Using ANSYS simulation software,according to DOE plan to set parameters,simulate the insertion force results.Then use the MiniTAB software to identify the key factors that affect the insertion force,that is,the surface friction coefficient.Trying three different plating processes,the final determination can be changed by changing the plating process to reduce the surface friction coefficient by dull tin to bright tin to improve the program.According to the new plating process,the actual samples are processed,and the optimization results are verified by the insertion force,which verifies the feasibility of the optimization scheme.At the same time,finding out the cause of the friction coefficient on the surface of the connector,and find out the theoretical basis of the improvement plan.The contribution of this paper is combine DOE and FEA(Finite Element Analysis)in one optimize,it will reduce most time and cost for company.And a good example for using DOE with any kind of simulation software to reduce testing and sampling time. |
