As the most widely used transmission component in mechanical structure,gears will determine the efficiency of the energy utilization of the entire mechanical system.With the continuous improvement of energy saving and emission reduction requirements in modern society,designing a high-efficiency gear transmission system is of great significance.In this paper,the calculation method of gear system meshing efficiency is taken as the research goal.Considering the influence of gear modification factors,the meshing efficiency calculation model is established and the efficiency optimization analysis is carried out.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,based on the finite element method,the gear load distribution model is established,and the time-varying mesh stiffness,tooth surface load distribution and tooth-to-tooth load distribution law are obtained.The time-varying friction coefficient model based on elastohydrodynamic lubrication theory is used to calculate the gear meshing power loss.At the same time,considering the windage power loss,the oil-stirring power loss and the bearing friction power loss,the calculation method of the transmission efficiency of the gear system is established.The influence of error and modification factors on gear meshing efficiency is also analyzed.Then,considering the profile modification,the tooth lead modification and the pitch error,a calculation method for the meshing efficiency of gears included the modification is established.The results show that the pitch error and the profile modification will change the load distribution characteristics between the gear teeth,but have little effect on the gear meshing efficiency;the tooth lead modification will reduce the gear meshing stiffness and improve the gear meshing efficiency.Then,the sensitivity analysis of the influence of structural parameters,working condition parameters and shaping parameters on gear meshing stiffness and meshing efficiency is carried out,and the selection principle of gear design parameters from the perspective of optimizing gear meshing stiffness and meshing efficiency is formed.The effectiveness of the optimization method is verified by a case study.Finally,develop the transmission efficiency calculation software for the gear system which can calculate the power loss of spur gears,helical gears,double helical gears,planetary gearboxes.The software has certain versatility.
