With the advancement of urbanization, the influx of large numbers of people into cities and large-scale urban construction activities has increased the phenomenon of urban sprawl. At the same time, the increase in people's ability to purchase cars in recent years has made it easier for residents to travel, these factors have contributed to the increasing commuting costs of residents.Higher commuting costs have put tremendous pressure on the city,On the one hand, high commuting costs can generate a huge economic loss;on the other hand, higher commuting costs indicate a larger number of long-distance commuting, which will increase the occurrence of traffic congestion, traffic accidents and other issues.Shenzhen is one of the four first-tier cities in China,it has the characteristics of rapid economic development, large population, and the problems of urban land shortage, housing shortage, high prices and high rents. In addition, the promotion of urban transformation has led to the relocation of traditional industries, which has led some jobs to stay away from their places of residence. In the case of a shortage of land, the launch of a large number of urban renewal projects has increased the cost of rent, changed status of Jobs-Housing,and increased the separation of Jobs-Housing.What scholars have been focusing on is how to balance Jobs-Housing and reduce the commuting costs of residents. In the past, scholars paid more attention to the absolute balance of Jobs-Housing,but it was very difficult to achieve. Therefore,it lacked practical effects on the proposal to improve the Jobs-Housing.My paper focuses on excessive commuting and influencing factors. The multi-source and fullsample data is used in the paper. The data has the characteristics of large quantity, high precision, rich data types and new data, which can reflect the commuter characteristics of urban residents in a more detailed and accurate way.At the same time, combined with Shenzhen statistical yearbook data and mobile phone signaling data to carry out reliability testing, which makes the calculation of excess commute more reasonable.Excessive commuting is calculated at the urban scale and the traffic zone(TAZ)scale. The results show that the heterogeneity of excess commuting in Shenzhen is obvious, and there are obvious high-excess commute characteristics and separation of occupation and residence in local areas.Different from previous studies, the paper has built a regression model of excess commute, and found spatial elements,socio-economic factors and the traffic elements will affect the excess commuting, and the excess commuting distance model can better explain the reasons for the formation of excess commuting. In addition, the study also found that in the current Shenzhen residential area, the concentration of employment opportunities and the improvement of traffic convenience will lead to an increase in excess commuting.Compared with the previous sample survey data, the paper is based on multisource full-sample data, which can more fully describe the characteristics of urban excess commute and explore the reasons for its formation. In addition, measuring the excess commute from the traffic community scale,it also reflects Shenzhen City more realistically.Excessive commuting conditions. Therefore,it can provide reference for evaluating the balance of occupation and residence, and also provide assistance for Shenzhen to cope with industrial transformation, urban renewal and urban transportation.
