This paper mainly studies the extreme and fatigue loads of floafting wind turbine, compare the results of quasi-static cable model and dynamic cable model, the dynamic cable model was applied to study the impact of wave incident angle on the extreme and fatigue loads.According to the requirement of IEC61400-3,statistical extrapolation method is used to calculate extreme load, maximum block and peak over threshold methods are used to predict TLP wind turbine extreme loads. As to POT method,GEV and GPD distributions are chosen as extrapolated distributions to compare the extreme load with different thresholds.Followed the techniques outlined in IEC61400-3 and Miner's linear damage theroy,MLife program accumulates fatigue loads due to fluctuating loads over the design life of the wind turbine. As to floating wind turbine, choose TLP,Semi-Sub and Spar wind turbine to get simulation data with quasi-static and dynamic cable model, comparison of platform and wind turbine loads shows that inertia force has a great impact on the on the extreme and fatigue loads, and dynamic cable model is recommended. The dynamic cable model was used to get simulation data corresponding to different wave incidence angles, compare the calculated results,it concludes that the the wave incident angle has an impact on the on the extreme and fatigue loads of tower base.
