| With the continuous increase of highway traffic volume in China,the proportion of heavy vehicles is also increasing.A significant problem that comes with it is that the number of repairs and maintenance caused by highway aging,damage,etc.is gradually increasing,making maintenance and The road congestion and traffic safety problems during the maintenance period gradually show that the local maintenance construction section of the expressway has reduced the traffic capacity and running speed compared with the normal road section due to the lane reduction.In order to improve the traffic efficiency of the highway maintenance area and ensure the safety of traffic,the speed limit control can be implemented on the warning section of the upstream of the maintenance area.Therefore,how to set a reasonable speed limit value under different traffic conditions is formulated reasonably effective.The variable speed limit control method is to protect the traffic safety to the greatest extent and improve the road operation efficiency.The main content of this paper is to reveal the necessity and significance of implementing variable speed limit in the highway maintenance section by analyzing the section type and speed limit method of the highway maintenance section.Due to the particularity of the section of the maintenance area,Different variable speed limit control models were established for the peak period and the peak period to control the speed limit of the road all day long.This paper summarizes the current traffic flow model,and elaborates the CTM model and METANET model of the widely used macroscopic traffic flow model at the present stage,and compares and analyzes the application effects of the two models in the research section,selection and research.The METANET model,which is closer to the traffic flow data of the road segment,serves as the basic model for modeling.The critical density is the demarcation point,the greater than the critical density is defined as the peak period,and the smaller than the critical density is defined as the peak period.Based on the METANET macro traffic flow model,a variable speed limit model with traffic efficiency is established at the peak period.For the Pingfeng period,a variable speed limit model is established with the goal of traffic efficiency and traffic safety.Finally,this paper uses VISSIM simulation software as the platform to use the VB language to develop the platform twice,and builds the simulation section of the section of the maintenance section of the US SR17-N highway in Santa Crus County,and implements the sections before and after the variable speed limit.The comparison of the operation results shows that the implementation of variable speed limit during the peak period of the warning zone before the maintenance area can improve the operation efficiency.The implementation of the variable speed limit during the peak period can reduce the possibility of accidents and improve the safety of the road. |
