Research On Landscape Improvement Of Xi’An Xingqing Palace Park Based On Historical And Cultural Heritage

The specific feature of each city is defined by various factors such as their unique history,natural conditions,economic conditions,and political environment.The history is the spiritual soul for the human development,and it also gives the city a distinctive memory.The Park of Xingqing Palace was built on the site of Tang Xingqing Palace in 1958.It is also the first city park in Xi’an after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.A place site of Tang Dynasty has also been discovered during construction.Therefore,the Park of Xingqing Palace has its profound historical heritage and unique historical memory.However,due to the premature construction time and the poor management and maintenance in the later period,the Park of Xingqing Palace presents various problems such as prominent cultural characteristics,chaotic functional spatial distribution,poor arrangement of road system,ineffective plant landscape and incomprehensive infrastructure.This paper carries out the following research:the first chapter clarifies the research objectives,contents and methods of this paper.Chapter twobased on the concept of historical culture puts forward the important relationship between historical culture and landscape design.The historical background of Xingqing Palace and the connotation characteristics of Tang culture has been analysed,and the historical information which could improve the landscape of the Park of Xingqing Palace has been extracted.The third chapter based on the analysis of relevant theories and case studies.The advantages and disadvantages of each case are clarified,and through comprehensive comparison,summarizes the common advantages and disadvantages of the case.Chapterfour raise the principles and methods of urban comprehensive park design.Specificallyincluding optimize the spatial structure and enhance cultural taste,improve the roadnets,optimize the pavement,construction ecological revetment,enhance the effect of hydrophilic,nativeplants dominate and enrich the plant hierarchy,integrate cultural elements to improve the quality of facilities.Chapter five aiming at the characteristics of regional history and culture,the paper analysedthe Park of Xingqing Palace form three aspects: site landscape,cultural landscape and environmental landscape though thefield survey,questionnaires,interviews.Based on the principle of “cultural construction,this paper has released an overall transformation plan which include space,roads,water bodies,plants and facilities.The value of this paper is reflected in theory and practice:intheory,through the relevant theoretical research and case studies,urban comprehensive park landscape improvement methods for the purpose of historical and cultural inheritance is proposed.Inpractice,through the form of questionnaire,the design principles and methods are guided to practice,and the current situation of Xingqing Palace Park in Xi’an is upgraded.
