With the rapid development of the national economy,the living standards of residents are improving day by day,and the requirements for power quality are getting higher and higher.As the part of the power system that directly serves the power customers,the power supply system has gradually become a problem that the power companies attach great importance to.The quality of the power system is directly related to the safe and economic operation of the power equipment and the normal operation of the production.However,at present,China's distribution network construction is seriously lagging behind the transmission network.Its network frame is weak,equipment is old,line card neck,low voltage and other problems still exist,which often leads to low voltage at the end of the line and unqualified voltage quality.These problems are particularly serious in long-distance distribution lines in rural areas.Therefore,it is necessary to take necessary measures to improve the voltage quality of long-distance lines in rural distribution networks.In terms of improving the voltage quality of distribution network in China,the solutions adopted in the past mainly include: rebuilding the line,increasing the cross-section of the conductor;adopting a new substation to reduce the power supply radius;and adopting a parallel reactive power compensation device to improve the power supply quality.In many countries,in the medium and low voltage distribution network(10k V and below),the series compensation technology is often used to solve the voltage quality problem of the distribution network.At present,the power supply radius of the medium and low voltage distribution network(10k V and below)is greater than 10 km.Lines with a load greater than 2 MW or more end impact loads may be fitted with series compensation devices to improve line voltage quality.Through the example analysis calculation and field operation data,it can be seen that the effect of pressure regulation and loss reduction is remarkable.This paper takes the Beichang Line in Liaozhong District of Shenyang as an example,and analyzes the applicability of the long line in the distribution network by transforming and installing series compensation technology.
