Vehicle suspension is an assembly that connects the transmission of force and torque between vehicle body and wheel.Because of its complexity and particularity,it has always been a difficult point in research and development and technical research.The suspension parameters such as wheel alignment,wheelbase and wheelbase change under the action of road force and torque.The change of suspension motion parameters will lead to the change of vehicle handling stability and vehicle ride comfort.The multi-link suspension has many guide rods and complicated structure.Although the motion of each guide rod affects each other,the design freedom of the multi-link suspension is large.The K&C performance of the multi-link rear suspension can be designed and developed through the rea sonable arrangement of the rear suspension points,so that the design factors such as the link and the connecting bush can be balanced and optimized.It is designed to ensure that the vehicle has good handling stability and ride comfort.In this paper,the hard point layout and design optimization of a passenger car multi-link rear suspension are studied on the basis of chassis related literature research and engineering development experience.The main research contents a nd achievements are as follows:1)Summarize and introduce the process of suspension development and the content of suspension pre-development.Combining with the development of a passenger car chassis,layout and topological analysis of the rear suspension of the vehicle are carried out.The UG/Motion motion simulation model is established,and the application of motion simulation in the pre-development is summarized.2)Based on ADAMS/Car module,the suspension dynamic model was established,and the K&C test bench was used to test and veri fy the simulation results,and the influence of K&C characteristics on the handling stab ility was studied and analyzed.3)Based on Adams/Insight module,the sensitivity of hard-point coordinates to specific K&C characteristics is studied,and the key poin ts of K&C characteristics are found out,which provides the basis for objective optimization.4)Response Surface Methodology(RSM)is used to optimize the hard point of the suspension to ensure good handling and stability of the vehicle,and to provide reference for subsequent vehicle adjustment.Based on the hard point layout design and optimization of the suspension,this paper summarizes some processes and methods in the suspension development process,which has a reference for chassis development and p ractical work.
