With the explosive growth of PV industry,as the key component of PV power system,the overall performance of PV inverters is directly related to the reliability,quality and efficiency of whole system.The operation performance of inverters is closely relevant of solar irradiance,ambient temperature,power grids,other equipment and etc,so it is necessary to develop an empirical testing platform for detecting photovoltaic inverter,to promote the development of the whole industry.Based on doing research on the existing small-scale photovoltaic power plants,the empirical testing platform of photovoltaic inverters is developed in this paper.First,the matching mode between PV arrays and inverters is chosen in this paper by studying the structure of a typical photovoltaic system.Second,the system structure including the PV arrays with tracking system,DC input and the AC grid-connected system is studied to build a flexibility DC input control strategy to meet the testing of various of different capacities inverters.Third,the mathematics algorithm for electrical performance of the tested PV inverter such as conversion efficiency,power factor,harmonic analysis and etc,is studied to develop a comprehensive analysis system software which can automatic analyze detecting data and output the results.Last,the capacity of 100kW of PV inverters are tested and analyzed to verify the correctness and practicability of the empirical testing platform and its supporting software which has a certain value of engineering application and promotion.
