With the development of the automobile industry,more and more people begin to engage in the automobile related industry,study and research the knowledge and technology.The engine is the heart of the car.It is of great significance for people in the industry to be familiar with the operation of the engine,study the performance of the engine and solve common engine faults.In order to have these abilities,we must carry out continuous experiments.However,in reality,it is often difficult to meet our experimental demands due to the constraints of various conditions.In view of these limitations,the design and implementation of simulation laboratory for internal combustion engine are proposed.The simulation laboratory of internal combustion engine is composed of software and hardware.The software part realizes the simulation of internal combustion engine working process,users can design and modify various parameters of internal combustion engine according to their actual needs.And then,design corresponding engine model and experiment based on that.The hardware part realizes the control and use of the model by designing an external controller,which is mainly composed of a touchable HMI screen and two control knobs.The design and development of simulation laboratory for Internal Combustion Engine is divided into the design of computer software program and the development of external controller equipment.The design of the software program is realized through C++ high-level programming language.The compilation and debugging environment of the program is based on Visual Studio and Qt Designer.Among them,Visual Studio is used for code writing and Qt Designer is used for making software interface of simulation laboratory.The development of external controller equipment on the one hand is based on USART HMI,which is an interface development software that use full interface visual editing to design the touch screen,on the other hand based on the microcontroller of Atmega16 to design throttle and load control knob.Among them,the development of the display screen is based on the instruction set provided by the software itself and the control is written in C language.The compiling and burning of the microcomputer are completed through Atmel Studio,serial debugger and other software.The simulation laboratory for internal combustion engine mainly includes the following functions:(1)Users can customize the ideal internal combustion engine model,including: cylinder diameter,compression ratio,flywheel mass,piston stroke,crank-rod ratio,exhaust valve diameter,exhaust valve cone Angle,intake advance Angle,exhaust late closing Angle and many other parameters of the independent Settings.(2)The internal combustion engine model can be tested by the external controller,and the performance parameters displayed are: speed,torque,power,fuel consumption,smoke,exhaust temperature,water temperature,oil pressure,oil temperature and so on.(3)The malfunction of machine can be set up by fault setting button.Then users can observe the change of machine parameters and the describe of fault phenomenon and finally connect the fault detector to read the fault code of OBD-?to troubleshoot.If the failure solution selected by the users is not reasonable,the system will automatically record the failure for the users to review.(4)Users can learn the troubleshooting methods of internal combustion engine's common faults systematically.The simulation laboratory of internal combustion engine provides detailed explanations of fault phenomena,fault causes,fault diagnosis and troubleshooting steps.
