The plane steel gate is an adjustment building in the water conservancy and hydropower engineering hub,and is widely used in engineering because of the characteristics of simple structure,simple manufacture,easy installation,convenient transportation and maintenance.However,the traditional planar simplified calculation and design methods have problems such as inaccurate calculation methods,complicated design processes,trivial modify,lack of digitization,information,and intuitive three-dimensional dynamic.It is more and more difficult to adapt to modern engineering requirements,so it is necessary to explore a new design method to adapt to multiple development needs and develop an integrated auxiliary design application software aimed at plane steel gates.Now BIM technology represented by parameterization,visualization,collaborative design,etc.is quietly emerging in the field of architecture.It is excellent in achieving design efficiency and resource intensification.Therefore,this paper takes this as a starting point,studys and develops design systems that are digital and integrated for plane steel gates based on BIM technology.The main research contents and results of this paper are as follows:Firstly,by summarizing the traditional design theory,design method and design experience of steel gates,combining the current norms and the analysis of information design requirements,BIM theory,technology and finite element analysis are organically integrated,a digital analysis and design method for plane steel gate based on BIM technology is proposed.Based on the scientific application of BIM modeling technology,model conversion technology and engineering analysis technology,this method integrates the parameterized 3D design software Catia,Hyperwork with efficient model processing algorithm,and Ansys that is a universal finite software with powerful numerical solution ability,realizes a substantial transformation of the calculation method and the way of drawing.Secondly,the BIM model in the implementation of the digital design analysis method for plane steel gates is established,the problems in the transformation of solid-grid model are solved and the efficient modeling method of the “steel linkage and call template” of the plane steel gate is constructed,which establish foundation for the steel gate to realize parameterization and standardized rapid modeling in the digitization design process.At the same time,through the "dimension reduction" operation of the 3D design model,the data interface between the modeling and analysis software is opened,which significantly improves the structural analysis effect and speed.Thirdly,based on the above general ideas and theoretical methods,VB 6.0 is used as a software platform to develop a digital design system for plane steel gates integrating structural design,3D modeling,finite element analysis and engineering drawing.Finally,the developed plane steel gate design system is applied to a project for the steel gate design.The results show that the system can show strong adaptability,its dynamic character,open source feature,scalability and good interaction,which has reserved a lot of room for improvement for the continuous improvement and enrichment of software functions.The efficiency of the digital design analysis of the plane steel gate can be further improved,and the practical operation of the designer is facilitated.
