Lane resource allocation is an important part of the urban road network,which also affects the accessibility of functional land.At present,China’s road design pays attention to the allocation of the main lane,ignoring the non-mainstream lane resources,resulting in the decline of urban road network traffic efficiency and safety.It is necessary to adopt qualitative and quantitative methods from the perspective of planning,study the principle of auxiliary lane setting and put forward optimal design strategies.Firstly,this paper compares the value orientation of road planning at home and abroad,and counts the parameters of the urban road network in five cases.Using macro traffic software VISUM to construct road network,and quantitatively analyzes the allocation of resources in the main and auxiliary lanes at home and abroad.Differences and regularity indicate that the proportion of China’s main lanes is too large,and it is less likely to adopt a wide-ranging configuration to turn lanes.Foreign accessibility is more than China’s.Furthermore,it points out that there are some essential problems in the layout of auxiliary lanes in China.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the operational characteristics of various types of traffic flow on urban roads,the concept of causing the relativeity of road conflicts is proposed.The traffic efficiency model is used as the evaluation index for judging the auxiliary lane setting.The VISSIM microscopic traffic model was used to construct a standard intersection model with or without auxiliary lanes to verify the necessity of its setting and the impact on urban road traffic flow.Then the design strategy of auxiliary lane is proposed from the middle and micro aspects.At the micro level,the left turn is shown in the simplified diagram,and the right turn,U-turn lane,other four types of regular auxiliary lanes,analysis of advantages and disadvantages,and summarized the left-turn front offset,turning radius and other related geometric design.Finally,relying on the actual project of traffic design of Kunlun main road in Xining City,the method proposed by the research is applied to engineering practice,which verifies the scientific and reasonable results of the research and strengths the application of technical methods to planning practice.
