The friction dissipator is widely used in the shock absorbing design of building structures due to its simple mechanical properties,stable energy consumption performance and easy processing.This paper mainly studies the steel plate composite friction dissipator.Analyzing the force mechanism and energy consumption characteristics of this type of energy consuming device in detail.The improvement of friction materials and structures was carried out,and an improved method was proposed to further optimize the energy-consuming starting force,working stability and assembly method.This paper combines experimental research with finite element analysis to study the following:(1)The development history of the steel plate composite friction dissipator is reviewed.The theoretical basis of the energy consuming device is introduced,and the previous research results are summarized.(2)Designing the bolt tightening sequence and the bolt gasket with or without the protective oil.Through the test,the numerical analysis shows that the diagonal tightening bolt and the bolt washer are coated with the protective oil to make the steel plate more uniform.The friction coefficient of the dissipator constructed under various friction material combinations was detected by a friction coefficient measurement test.Through the axial tensile force calibration test of the bolt,the numerical relationship between the bolt torque and the axial tensile force of the bolt is calculated and fitted.Four types of tests and analysis provide design basis for the practical application of energy consuming devices.(2)Test and finite element analysis of steel plate-composite rubber frictional energy dissipator.The energy consuming device with composite rubber as friction material has good energy consumption ability and full hysteresis curve within a certain torque range.However,because of the limited force of the composite rubber material,it is impossible to obtain a large energy-consuming ability,and finally the type A friction material is used.The steel plate-composite type A frictional dissipator has good energy consumption performance in the test and finite element analysis,which meets the design and specification requirements.
