The reinforcement method for steel tube partially constrained RC column is based on constrained concrete concept and improved on the basis of the traditional steel tube confined concrete column reinforcement method,the reinforcement method only strengthens the weak section of the column body,by removing the surface concrete of a certain depth of the reinforced length of the column,the installed steel casing can be flush with the adjacent surface of the standard-confirmed concrete,and then using pressure grouting method to fill the gap between steel casing and concrete to keep both of them in close contact.The reinforcement method not only retains the advantages of the traditional steel tube confined concrete column reinforcement method,such as significant reinforcement effect,significant improvement in ductility,and significant increase in stiffness,but also improves some inherent drawbacks of it,such as large cross-section,high cost,affecting the original space of use,and affecting the aesthetic appearance of the construction surface,these are all problems in the steel tube confined full-length RC column reinforcement method and steel tube filled with Self-Consolidating Concrete reinforcement method.Before this paper,the research on the axial compression bearing capacity of reinforced concrete columns partially strengthened with steel tube was carried out.Three sets of axial compression bearing experiment of reinforced concrete columns partially constrained by steel tubes was conducted,with the width-to-thickness ratio of steel tubes as variables.Through the experiments,significant reinforcement effects had been verified.In this paper,based on the experiment,ABAQUS is used to establish and analyze the relevant finite element model,to obtain reliable and reasonable ABAQUS parameter settings.Extend the case to apply the reinforcement method for steel tube partially constrained RC column on full-cross section column,and use the same parameter settings of ABAQUS obtained from simulation of experiments,then explore the reinforcement effect and mechanical response of the test piece.Contrast the bearing capacity value of test pieces obtained by experiment,finite element simulation and formula calculation,in order to provide relevant suggestions for engineering application.
