The high speed,high traffic volume and high density of the high-speed railway intensify the dynamic effect between the wheel and rail,resulting in an increase of wheel polygonization phenomena.The impact vibration generated by the wheel polygonization will deteriorate the running safety,stability and passenger ride comfort,Meanwhile,with the lightweight design of vehicle structure,the influence of the flexible characteristics of the vehicle/track system on the vehicle dynamics can not be ignored.Therefore,it’s worthwhile to study on the effect of wheel polygons on the dynamics of the vehicle system in the middle-high frequency range.In this paper,the vehicle track coupling dynamic model considering wheel-rail flexibility is built to study the characteristics of vehicle dynamics and axlebox vibration caused by wheel polygons,based on co-simulation of Universal Mechanism and ANSYS.Simulation results would provide theoretical guidance for wheel polygon detection based on axlebox vibration response.The main contents include:(1)Referring to the parameters of Chinese high speed EMU and slab track,vehicle track coupling system dynamic model considering the flexibility of the wheel and rail was established by using Universal Mechanism and ANSYS software.(2)Based on simulation model,the influence of wheelset flexibility and wheel polygonization on the vehicle dynamic performance was analyzed.(3)The responses of axlebox vibration due to wheel polygonization under high-speed conditions were studied.The relationship between wheel polygon order,wear depth,running speed and the frequency-time characteristic parameters of axlebox vibration acceleration was put forward.(4)Based on the frequency-domain and time-domain parameters of axlebox vibration acceleration signal,periodic and random polygonal wheels were identified,which provides a method for wheel polygonalization detection of high-speed railway EMUs.
