As a valuable object,traditional methods of placing or installing cultural relics can not effectively protect the safety of cultural relics in earthquakes.Seismic isolation technology can effectively protect cultural relics from earthquake damage.At present,some passive isolation devices have been developed for the isolation of cultural relics,but the passive devices are not suit to strong randomness of earthquakes,and the bearing range of isolation devices is small.In order to solve the above problems,a new semi-active isolation system for cultural relics based on MR damper is proposed,and its theoretical research and simulation analysis are carried out.In this paper,a new type of semi-active horizontal isolation device is proposed.The isolation device uses low friction ball bearing and spring reset,and magnetorheological damper to realize semi-active intelligent control.A large bearing range isolation device is designed.The reasonable values of stiffness and damping of reset spring of isolation device are obtained by theory and finite element method,and the MR damper and reset spring are designed.Then,the simulation analysis of the isolation effect of the semi-active isolation system is carried out by using MATLAB programming,and the influence of different control algorithms and cultural relics weight on the isolation effect is studied.Finally,the isolation effects of four control algorithms are compared and analyzed,and a control algorithm suitable for the isolation system is proposed.The results show that the system adopts bounded Hrovat control algorithm to control seismic displacement and acceleration response better,and the isolation effect is basically stable under different weight cultural relics.Its isolation efficiency can reach more than 66%,and with the increase of the weight of cultural relics,the response displacement of cultural relics increases slightly,and the isolation efficiency continues to increase.Compared with passive isolation,the isolation effect is improved by about 20%,and the response displacement is reduced by about 20%.
