The control performance evaluation standard for the Automatic Generation Control(AGC)unit can measure the contribution of the generator to the frequency adjustment,and can provide a basis for regulating the regulation behavior of the generator.The integration of new energy sources has made the supply and demand relationship of frequency adjustment resources tense.The battery energy storage(BES)has better regulation characteristics,which makes it an important AGC auxiliary service provider in future grid operation.The regulation characteristics of BES are different from those of conventional units.If the existing AGC unit evaluation standard is directly applied to BES,there is a problem that the regulation performance is low,and the state of charge(SOC)and battery life is less considered.This leads to the technical advantages of BES not fully utilizing,and does not take into account the economic benefits of BES itself.Through in-depth analysis of the differences between BES and conventional units in terms of regulation characteristics,life characteristics and SOC,the applicability of existing unit evaluation criteria for BES is clarified.In order to give full play to the BES regulation advantage and mobilize its enthusiasm for participation in regulation,proposed the "adjustment speed requirements increase,regulator relaxed accuracy requirements,allowing proper reverse modulation" evaluation criteria design goals.Refer to the existing unit evaluation standard indicator structure,and design the AGC control performance evaluation standard for BES considering battery life.The purpose is to facilitate the docking of the designed standards with the existing unit standards,and to guide the BES to comply with regulatory requirements.According to the characteristics of various types of battery energy storage,the setting basis of the relevant performance index values in the evaluation index are proposed,which enhances the applicability of the proposed standards to the energy storage of various types of batteries.The analysis of the simulation results shows that the proposed evaluation criteria have a clear distinction between different control performances.Operation according to this standard can not only improve the overall frequency modulation capability of the system,improve the system frequency quality,but also reduce the life loss of BES and help it maintain the adjustment capability,thereby mobilizing its enthusiasm for participating in the AGC service.
