The effective display and exploration of the historical data from thermal power plant’s control process can help users to understand the operating condition of the power unit quickly and deeply.Since historical data has the characteristics of long time span,multi-scale,high density with low value flow,and contains complex,high-dimensional and multivariate parameter sets,it has brought great challenges to visualization technology.Therefore,this thesis designs an integrated visualization method for time-series data space and high-dimensional parameter space from the perspective of power unit operating conditions and parameter correlation.First,from the perspective of large-scale time-series data space,a multi-angle overview and a multi-resolution operating condition view are designed to navigate the global operating state of the power unit,and it can effectively support the display and exploration of multi-level operating condition.Then,from the perspective of high dimensional parameter space,a navigation view is designed to support the hierarchical exploration of multivariate parameters,which realizes the flexible selection and filtration of parameters of the power unit,and can be coordinated with the operating condition view,thereby supports the users to explore the parameters characteristics of different time periods and different levels.Based on the above method,the visualization tool iDCS is designed and implemented,and it is applied to the visualization and analysis of the real power unit control data.Case studies show that the system has effective supported acquisition of available information and interactive exploration of complex rule from the historical data.The system can intuitively display the distribution of operating parameters and effectively reveal the complex relationship between parameters.Above all,it can help domain users to deeply understand the hidden information behind the historical data of thermal power plant operations.
