As the main pat of power battery,the battery pole-piece suffers the defects of scratches,exposed foils and others when the battery pole-piece is in a condition with coating,rolling and others,and these defects can seriously result in current leakage,heat and even explosion in the work.Therefore,it can improve the quality of battery production and reduce the occurrence of malfunctions that defects on surface coating of the battery pole piece are detected by real-time detection.The traditional detection system of battery pole-piece has the disadvantages such as low real-time performance,large volurne and high missed detection rate,which means the traditional detection systems of battery pole-piece are no longer sufficient for industrial production.The battery pole-piece surface coating defect detection system is designed based on Zynq and linear array CCD image sensor in this paper.The designed system is able to quickly and exactly detect defects in the surface coating of the battery pole-piece.The main research contents of this paper include:(1)The scheme of the battery pole-piece surface coating layer online detection system is designed.System is consist of Zynq main control module of internally integrated ARM+FPGA architecture,linear array CCD image acquisition module,high-speed A/D conversion module,power management module,and encoder Input module composition.(2)The algorithm of the batteiy pole-piece surface coating layer online detection system is designed.According to the characteristics of the inage of the battery pole piece,the median filtering is applied firstly in the image,the edge detection is adopted in the image by sobel operator.And then the suspicious area is marked according to the image connected domain labeling algorithm.Finally,the defects detection and classification are realized by calculating the characteristic values such as the area,perimeter and circularity of the defect area.(3)The battery pole-piece surface coating layer online detection system is designed and implemented.Based on the Zynq platform,the software and hardware functions of the battery pole coating defect detection algorithm is divided,and the Vivado HLS is used to realize the computationally large image preprocessing algorithm on the FPGA(PL).Achieves complex algorithm and system control,reduce image processing time and improve system real-time on the ARM.The system hardware platform is built,and finally the high bandwidth of AXI bus is utilized to realize communication of various hardware modules in the system.(4)The system is tested and analyzed.The test results show that when the width of the battery pole to be tested is 250mm,the system can accurately detect defects such as scratches and exposed foil on the coating of the battery pole-piece,and the size of minimum defect detection is 0.1 mm,the detection speed can reach to 10m/min,the defect recognition rate is 96.7%.
