With the development of armor technology and the emerging of various armor,such as ceramic armor,gap armor,explosive reactive armor,composite reactive armor,etc.,the protection ability of armored vehicles has been greatly improved,which brings a great challenge to the traditional armor-breaking technology.It is urgent to develop a new ammunition with stronger armor-breaking ability.At present,shaped charge is one of the effective means of protection against advanced armor in artillery,rocket and missile warhead.In this paper,starting from the basic theory of shaped charge jet formation and penetration,combined with the theory of shaped charge structure design,an improved M-shaped charge liner was proposed on the basis of the flat liner,and the improved method was applied to the column-cone combined liner to verify the universality of the improved method.The numerical simulation method is used to verify the advantages of the improved liner,and the influence of the ring diameter and cone angle of the top structure on the jet formation and penetration performance of the improved liner is studied.The results show that the penetration depth of the jet formed by the truncated M-shaped liner is higher than that of the flat shaped liner.When the jet formed by the truncated M-shaped liner with different ring diameter penetrates the steel target,the penetration depth of the jet formed by the truncated M-shaped liner with d=3mm is the highest,followed by the truncated M-shaped liner with d=2mm,and the truncated M-shaped liner with d=4mm is the lowest.When the jet formed by the truncated M-shaped liner with different cone angle penetrates the steel target,the penetration depth of the jet formed by the truncated M-shaped liner with α=40° is the highest,followed by the truncated M-shaped liner with α=60°,and the truncated Mshaped liner with α=80° is the lowest.The penetration depth of the jet formed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner is higher than that of the cylinder-cone liner.When the jet formed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with different ring diameter penetrates the steel target,the penetration depth of the jet formed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with d=3mm is the highest,followed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with d=2mm,and the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with d=4mm is the lowest.When the jet formed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with different cone angle penetrates the steel target,the penetration depth of the jet formed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with α=40° is the highest,followed by the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with α=60°,and the cylinder-cone combined with M-shaped liner with α=80° is the lowest.In summary,the improved liner can greatly improve the penetration performance of the jet.The jet formed by the top structure with a ring diameter of 3mm and a cone angle of 40 has the best penetration performance.
